SIOUXSIE SIOUX ACHIEVES NIRVANA

I can't believe how quickly time is going by with so little to show for it.  Another weekend of  work on the bathroom planned, but I also purchased a ticket to see a show Saturday night at the Hi Dive that I'm looking forward to.

Life has become very complicated.

First up on the virtual concert stage are Siousxie and the Banshees performing a live show at Warwick University in Coventry, UK on March 9, 1981. An excellent quality  BBC archive recording, for the TV series 'Rock goes to College', broadcast on TV in the UK and US.  An amazing, spellbinding performance by Siousxie Sioux and her bandmates.  It's amazing to think how far they came since their debut at the 100 Club Punk Festival back on September 9, 1976!  What a voice and some really fine guitare work.  One of the best from Siousxie Sioux so far for me.

Next up was Nirvana doing a show down under at the Palace in Melbourne AU on February 1, 1992.  Excellent pre FM recording during which the band goes from one song to the other with very little banter with the audience. 1992 was the start of "the year punk broke". They are still able to play "Smells Like Teen Spirit" with enthusiasm, and a host of other favorites from Nevermind and Bleach.  I'm always blown away by the quality of the Nirvana bootleg recordings!!
